I got back from Aya Revolution 09 this week. My new camera got a good workout, I took over 400 pictures in total I think. You can find them here, here and here on Facebook – I set the privacy to “Everyone”, so you don’t need an account to view the pics, but if you’re in any of them I recommend getting an account so you can tag yourself.

Bought a bunch of stuff in the dealers room at the con:

• Patlabor movies 1 and 2 limited edition double pack
• Planetes boxset
• Witch Hunter Robin boxset (boxsets were on 2 for £25 at the Beez table and I needed something to get along with Planetes)
• Aria the Animation and Aria the Natural parts 1 and 2 boxsets
• Fate/stay night boxset
• Futari H manga vols 1-4
• Xenosaga III KOS-MOS swimsuit version figure
• Demonbane Metatron figure

The Momoi Haruko concert was awesome, I’d definitely like to go to something like that again (need to remember to bring my own glowsticks next time though). The con parties were good, although they might’ve been more enjoyable for me if I’d have known any of the people there. I managed to get 3G signal with my dongle okay at the various panels I covered, so that worked out well too.

AmeCon got announced for 2010 during the closing ceremony, so now I gotta start saving up for that.

So tomorrow I’m off to Aya Revolution, this year’s major UK anime convention. You can follow me on Twitter as I’ll be using it quite a lot on the trip and at the con.

So I haven’t written a blog post on here for absolutely ages, but anyway. As you may or may not know, I’m going to Aya Revolution 09. It’s just over a month away, and I’ve got all the preparations ready (registration and accommodation booked and paid for, train tickets booked and received, spending money saved up, convention T-shirts ordered). You’ll be able to follow what happens there on my Twitter.

A week from tomorrow I shall be heading off on the train to Leicester for my yearly convention trip! I’ll be attending AmeCon at the University of Leicester.

I probably mentioned this before, but in case I didn’t (for example, because of my blog software being broken), I’m going to be attending AmeCon 2007 in August. I’ll be going down to Leicester on Thursday 9th August and coming back up on Monday 13th. I already got my train tickets and everything booked so it’s just a case of waiting now.. and part of this month’s wages will make up my spending money for the con.
